THE OWNERS & TRAINERS
Lenux Stables is owned and operated by Brooke and Quintus VanderSpuy,
a husband and wife team with a passion for horses and teaching. They
share over 20 yeas of professional experience in training American
Saddlebreds Horses and teaching English Saddleseat Riding. Both are
proud members of the United Professional Horseman's Association, The
American Saddlebred Horse Association, the United States Equestrian
Federation, American Road Horse and Pony Association, and the American
Saddlebred Association of the Carolina's. Brooke and Quintus share
a passion and a life: training the beautiful American Saddlebred Show
Horse and Hackney Pony and teaching English Saddleseat Riding. They
are gifted in training juvenile and amateur horses, young prospects
and hackney ponies. They love to teach riders who come for a weekly
fun ride, or riders who have a goal of becoming a world champion as
well as every rider in between. Brooke and Quintus say they are truly
blessed with a wonderful group of riders, owners and families at Lenux
Stables.
"We invite you to come meet us and become a part of our wonderful barn family!"- Brooke and Quintus

Quintus was born and raised in the Republic of South Africa where he first began training American Saddlebred Show Horses. Following his love for the American Saddlebred, Quintus moved to the United States in 1995 to further his career. In pursuit of accomplishing his dream of opening his own training stable, Quintus trained with some of the top Saddlebred trainers in the Unite States. Quintus enjoys training open and amateur horses as well as hackney ponies and babies. Quintus believes that patience is the foundation for training. His "Horse Whisperer" ways have proven him to be a great rider, trainer and teacher. Most recently, Quintus guided his Amateur Road Pony team to a 2008 World Championship Title.
Brooke VanderSpuy - Owner, Manager, Instructor
Brooke@lenuxstables.com
Brooke (Bodenhorst) VanderSpuy grew up riding horses her entire life. Thanks to the expertise of Ceil Wheeler, Brooke won the title of Reserve World Champion in Equitation at a very young age. Riding under two of North Carolina's top trainers, Lewis Eckard and Cash Lovell, Brooke spent her high school and college years showing top contenders all over the east coast. After graduating from Wake Forest University, Quintus and Brooke were married and began their life together by opening Lenux Stables & Riding Academy, Inc. Brooke's love for horses is paired with her gift of teaching. Her true passion is teaching riding lessons. Really knowing her students, their families, and passing on to each of them, her love for horses.
Kelly Nadler - Assistant Trainer and Instructor
Kelly@lenuxstabes.com
Kelly Nadler joined Lenux Stables in May of 2008 as Assistant Trainer
and Riding Instructor. Graduating from William Woods University in
2008, Kelly boasts a degree in Equestrian Science with a concentration
in Saddleseat. William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri is nationally
acclaimed for its studies in equine science. It was here where Kelly
was taught and guided by the best of the best, Ms. Gayle Lampe, a
national and international leader in equine science. Kelly trained
at Broadmoor Stables and Peeper Ranch, two of the top Morgan training
barns, during her summers at William Woods. After college, she made
the transition into the Saddlebred Industry, as she believes Saddlebreds
are the epitome of a saddle horse. Kelly loves to teach because she
wishes to share her knowledge and help others to enjoy the sport as
much as she does. She believes that an instructor can teach someone
so much more than just riding. When she reflects on how much her riding
instructors touched her life, she wishes that she too could be so
instrumental in the life of others.
Brooke and Quintus handpicked Kelly to fill the position at Lenux
Stables based on her wonderful personality, her ability to connect
with her students and her terrific riding ability! "We are thrilled
that Kelly came all the way from her home in St. Charles, Missouri
to be a part of our team. She is a strong asset to both our Riding
Academy and our Training Stable. She is very talented in teaching
and training. She is like a part of our family and we see a lot of
potential in her, " add Brooke and Quintus.
